this is a gorgeous game with beautifully designed characters (the player cook and the clients are very stylish and beautiful!),

and i like the WG elements too, but its too complicated for me, as i dont have any idea what to do with the food and its combos...

i learned that with 3 tiles, you have to get 3 food combinations right like the dots, but every time i deliver the food, its either a wrong combo, or i cant find a third ingredient for the combo to work.

if a more detailed tutorial can show us how to do this, it would be better, imho.

also, will you add a version of levels without a patience decrease/infinite playtime for fun?

(a gallery with the art and WG of the clients would be a cool detail as well)

all in all, its a fantastic, beautiful and clever game, keep up the good work!

I love this game and its style but ive got NO clue what I'm doing

I've got to say, out of most gain jam games I've played, this one seems to be one of the most polished. I think you nailed the atmosphere and style with the sounds and music, the sprite work is simply incredible too, and the base mechanics are quite fun, once I figured out how it's supposed to work. I also love the numerous belly levels for each of the characters, and how detailed each one is, they're incredibly high quality! And the gameplay is quite smooth too, no real lag or issues that hampers the gameplay, so nice job on that too. Also, the detail of how the characters tell you how close you are to getting the right combo is a nice touch.

As far as critique goes, there isn't really any glaring issues, though I could see the tutorials being a bit vague for new players in regards of how the colored ball/icon system works, and how the time seems to go by a bit too quick to enjoy watching these furs become huge before returning to gameplay. Aside from that, if development does continue, it could be worthwhile to add any target to try to reach in these levels (ex: a score to hit to beat the level and a button to end the level, a currency to earn as you go on to unlock extra content like a gallery, etc) as in some levels, it's easy to hit an infinite loop of gameplay if the combo can be figured out before the frenzy timer runs out. There also doesn't seem to be much in terms of progression (like a story or completing a challenge to unlock another), so that could add more replay value if that's what yall wanted to do.

Either way, this is a fantastic game, and you should be proud of how amazing it is! And I'm excited to see what you have in store for the future, whether you decide to continue this game or move on to something else

The game is pretty good, I know it was made for a gamejam but take this project and if you develop a basic good story, short of, find a decent ending to the "infinite game" problem of serving food with only a score reaching goal, and seek few more mechanics. Would be epic.

PD: Amazing music

good game, but to be honest not my flavor

as some mentioned, once i understood that im not supposed to feed the same dish all the time during the frenzy then i got the hang of the game

my biggest complain would be that 1. once you get the customer into a frenzy and keep do the correct dishes its pretty easy to play the game infinitly, the frenzy has enough time for me to figure out the next dish before it runs out and so i never run out of patience (got good 10 minutes before i got bored and just clicked retire)
but that brings me to my point 2. is that the "difficulty" bumps up a lot (imo) in the 2nd one, since you have to seperate the dishes into single pieces, it does give you the bonus of giving the customer 2 pips at once to see what they like but it felt like an annoying chore (probbaly because the game isnt in my taste)

i really liked that you can learn what flavors they like/want in another place based on their text before they finish eating and wish there was a way to figure out the next dish (i did see the "combo" meter, no clue how youre supposed to get that without it just being puure luck)

Just wondering when the character get full is there an ending or no?

Ngl, Once I found out how to play the game, I enjoyed it so far. For a gamejam I hoped to see if this could be a game itself like some gamejams I seen

Loved the game kinda wished i can play it on mobile

Hey, I really enjoyed your game! It was a little confusing in the beginning and I had a hard time at the 3rd 5 pips level but overall it was great :)

Oh wow! Thanks so much for making a video! We're glad you enjoyed it even with a bit of spicy difficulty.

Hey, can we get some kind of gallery mode to view the guests without a time limit?

Hello, I wanted to say that I was testing the game and I really like the idea and the mechanics, but the movement and collisions are very rare, that is, I have to be walking directly with what I want to interact for the action to take place and it is uncomfortable , also when the characters speak the texts overlap each other and makes it hard to read, and the tutorials are a bit confusing, but the game is fun overall. (sorry if you don't understand what I mean, I really don't speak English)

Hello, thanks for the comment! Yes, we understand what you are saying, and want to clean up controls and tutorials in the future! We are happy you enjoy the game despite the issues.

awesome game, would love see different modes like having limited time to stuff or bloat the girls to max capacity or a sandbox mode where you bloat and stuff the girls without having the patience meter go down, oh yeah and some belly sounds like sloshing or gurgling would be a nice eddition

The core concept is great, and I love watching these demons fill up, but the controls are rather finnicky and everything past the very first level for me just has you juggling so many different things that it becomes an anxiety simulator. At least the deer is super cute.

Thanks for the feedback! We certainly want to adjust controls as a top priority when going forward. We are glad to hear you enjoy our characters and concept, and hope we can make the whole experience more enjoyable in the future!

The artstyle for this game is really captivating for sure, and its a nice twist on the mastermind styled gameplay, giving it a time limit as well as a cooking gameplay to make the guesses a bit more "weighty".

My main gripe is that some colours have very bad contrast for colourblind people, especially green/yellow, so i struggled a lot with that... The controls seem a bit finicky as well, you really have to face the things you want to interact with exactly how it needs to be, and the default button layout being one handed makes it a bit more noticeable

Thanks for the feedback! We're happy to hear you had a generally good time despite the issues. Cleaning up the UI and controls will be our top priority if/when we move forward with this concept. We have plans to either adjust colors or add shapes to help differentiate pips.

Wow, this is really well done! The core gameplay is fun and the animated character art is great.

I hope you give it a post-jam polish. Things like a clearer tutorial, highlighting interactables so you know what "Z" is going to do, save highscore on retire, etc.
I missed having the Mastermind-style history, on 5 pips I was struggling to remember what I served three dishes ago. Maybe that's just part of the challenge.

Thank you for the praise! We would certainly like the clean this project up and add some QoL for the issues you mentioned.

It's amazing! I love it! The cutting level has an issue: when the cat starts to really bulk, his belly makes it impossible to see part of the kitchen. I do not complain, though~ ^^

can it be emulated on mobile?

Thanks for the question! We do not have plans to make a mobile version of the demo. We would need to retune the controls, and would rather save that effort towards a future full release if possible.

This game IS so GOOD its so creative and hard and fun1!!!!!1

this is really good! ...... I'm just to dumb to understand it and the tutorial isn't helping

Thanks for the kind words! Don't worry if you're having trouble, we could only do so much to explain the concept in a game jam timeline and you are certainly not alone.
We'd like to be more thorough in a future release to get people who are not familiar with the Mastermind/Codebreaker/Wordle system more comfortable playing.

pretty good game
